Auditioning for the camera

intermediate/advanced actors

Ages 16+

This will be a audition prep class for the intermediate to advanced actor. Actors must either have at least one year of scene study, the recommendation of the  instructor, or have had previous training. Class will focus on using skills learned from scene study - building an unbreakable sense of truth, and general fine tuning of acting technique - and apply to a self taped audition setting. You will be assigned a short scene, monologue, or commercial copy a few days prior to each class, and we will walk through how you would tape it as an audition. Material should be memorized. As always, you will work on the fundamentals of performance and character development incorporating the techniques of Uta Hagen, Sanford Meisner and Constantine Stanislavsky. Script analysis, sense of truth, and personalization will also be vital. This will be a fun, safe learning environment.
