The acting portion will focus on fundamental skills of script analysis and character development. Students will be doing scripted scene work in pairs and also breaking into small groups of 3-5 to write and perform in their own short films.
Sean McCracken is an actor, singer, and improvisor who has over 20 years experience on stage, as well as in film, television, etc. He has most recently been seen on television in Stranger Things (Netflix), and on stage in North Carolina Theatre's West Side Story. The improv portion will focus on the basic principles of improvisation through games and exercises in agreement, listening, spontaneity, and commitment. The skills learned in improv carry over into acting class, and vice versa.
Lisa Jolley is an actor, singer, improviser, and a teacher/coach of all of those things. Credits include: Hairspray (Broadway), Sweeney Todd (Paper Mill, PlayMakers Rep), Law & Order: SVU (NBC).
